Dr. Julie Ann Woodward is the chief of oculofacial and reconstructive surgery service at Duke University Medical Center. She is a professor of ophthalmology and an associate professor of dermatology. She is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS), and Women in Ophthalmology (WIO). She delivered keynote presentations for conferences in South America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East as well as various domestic conferences. In December of 2010, she was profiled on the front cover of Plastic Surgery Practice Magazine for her work of teaching in an academic practice. She has also been quoted in a variety of fashion magazines including Vogue, Self, Fitness, Allure, and Cosmopolitan. She enjoys teaching by injecting neuromodulators and facial fillers during live demonstrations that she has performed in several US and international cities. The editorial boards of 3 aesthetic journals have included her as a member in light of her expertise. Her special interests are in periocular rejuvenation with lasers and injectable neuromodulators and facial fillers.
During her early years she sold several pieces of art including those at a gallery show that sold out. She views her work with injectables as an extension of her love to create art.
In spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children, cat, dog, bunny, and 13 birds.
