George J. Hruza, MD MBA FAAD
Dr. Hruza is adjunct professor of dermatology and otolaryngology at St. Louis University. He received his medical degree from New York University, MBA from Washington University and completed his dermatology residency at New York University Medical Center followed by a laser surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School and a Mohs and dermatologic surgery fellowship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before his current position he was an associate professor of dermatology, surgery and otolaryngology and director of dermatologic surgery training at Washington University in St. Louis. He has trained 21 Mohs surgery fellows.
Dr. Hruza serves on three dermatology journal editorial boards and as assistant editor of Dermatologic Surgery and formerly as section editor of the Archives of Dermatology. He has served on the Association of Academic Dermatologic Surgeons, American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), American College of Mohs Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), Missouri State Medical Association (MSMA), AAAHC and St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society (SLMMS) Boards of Directors, as Treasurer of ASLMS and MSMA and as President of AAD, ASDS, ASLMS, MSMA and SLMMS. He currently serves on the ASLMS Board of Directors. He has contributed more than 185 publications to the medical literature including four textbooks on laser surgery and has lectured at more than 330 meetings on laser and dermatologic surgery on five continents.
